Our research is generally aimed at processes of criminalization. Within this frame we conduct empirical research on a broad range of topics, including drugs and security, in connection to policy and policy developments. On a local, regional, and (inter)national scale research is conducted on specific subgroups, such as people who enjoy the nightlife, drug dealers and prostitutes, but also on the general population. We adopt both qualitative and quantitative research methods, adjusted to the subject group and the theme.
