On Monday 31 October 2011 the Wuhan University School of Law awarded an honorary professorship to Benjamin van Rooij (Professor of Chinese law and Regulation, Director of the Netherlands China Law Centre of the University of Amsterdam).
The Wuhan University Law School belongs to one of the top law schools in China. Amsterdam collaborates with Wuhan in a NWO-WOTRO funded research project on legal empowerment of pollution victims in China and Indonesia. The award ceremony took place in the city of Wuhan in central China.
