Maria Weimer to advise European Parliament

1 June 2018

Maria Weimer has been invited to provide expert advice for the work of the Special Committee on Pesticides of the European Parliament, which investigates the recent EU authorisation of the active substance ‘glyphosate’ by the European Commission amid concerns over public health and environmental risks arising from the use of glyphosate in plant protection products; and aims to make reform proposals to improve the EU regulatory framework for pesticides. The special committee will carry out its work until the end of 2018 concluding with a special report.
