The speaker

Marietta Auer is Professor of Private Law and Philosophy of Law at the Justus-Liebig-University Giessen. She holds degrees in both law and philosophy from the University of Munich (First State Examination in Law, Doctorate and Habilitation in Law, Master in Philosophy) as well as LL.M. and S.J.D. degrees from Harvard Law School. She has also served as a law clerk at the Appellate Court of Munich (Second State Examination in Law). Marietta Auer has published extensively in the fields of private law, legal theory, and philosophy of law. She has received various honors and academic awards for her accomplishments in legal scholarship and education.
