The speaker

Terence Halliday is a specialist in globalization and law. He focuses on globalization of markets and politics, with particular attention to global norm-making by international organizations.  Halliday co-directs the Center on Law and Globalization. He is Adjunct Professor of Sociology, Northwestern University, and Honorary Professor, School of Regulation, Justice and Diplomacy, Facuty of Asia and the Pacific, Australian National University. He studied at Massey University, New Zealand, and the University of Toronto, and completed his Ph.D. in sociology from the University of Chicago.
