The speaker

Rainer Forst is Professor of Political Theory and Philosophy at Goethe-University, Co-director of the Cluster of Excellence on the "Formation of Normative Orders", Permanent Fellow at the Institute for Advanced Study in Bad Homburg and Director of the Leibniz Research Group “Transnational Justice”. He works on questions of practical reason and the foundation of morality as well as on basic concepts of normative political theory, esp. justice, toleration and democracy.
