Law

21June2018 12:00 - 13:00

PhD defence ceremony

Ding Qi studies recent developments in the power of the Supreme People’s Court, which stands at the top of the judicial hierarchy in China. She investigates how this court exercises its power in theory and in practice in China’s present political and constitutional context. She also asks how the power of the Supreme People’s Court contributes to the understanding of the highest court’s power in a nondemocratic form of separation of powers.
