Expertise

As an academic and as a practitioner, professor Jonathan Soeharno has noted expertise in the fields of (professional) ethics, integrity, disciplinary rules, logic, rhetoric, adjudication and rule of law.

He has specific expertise on the professional ethics of judges, lawyers, academics, notaries, bailiffs, doctors, accountants and bankers. He also advises organisations and corporates on ethics and integrity issues. He was involved in the coming about of the Dutch bankers' oath and disciplinary rules for the Dutch financial sector. Recently, he has worked with Ukrainian judges within the framework of the EU association treaty.

Soeharno wrote his PhD about the Integrity of the Judge (2009), held his inaugural lecture about the Value of the Oath (2013) and recently published an Introduction to Logic for Lawyers (2017). He is also a frequently asked (international) speaker.
